Ciao Ciao!

Bongiorno!

I haven't been on my blog in like months. The first thing I checked was my stats and it's amazing! Thank you for reading it. I have been a little lazing. People are looking at my blog everyday. I'm astounded.

This weekend I heard I can go to this big frisbee tournament in Bruges. It's like a champions league for frisbee. That's what someone explained to me. I'm sooo excited. Here's the site if you want to check it out: http://www.eucf11.be/ We have this huge speaker we bought with the team called a block rocker and you can hear it from about 100 metres away! Every person has to email 5 pump up / warm up songs. I have three now, so if you know any, help me!

1. Moves Like Jagger - Maroon 5
2. Banana Boat Song - Harry Belafonte
3. Everlasting Holiday - Dazzled Kid

I'm actually going to a concert of dazzled kid at the end of the month so that sure will be fun!
I'm still looking for suggestions. So feel free to leave a comment.

I really want to go to the concert of the Kooks who are coming to Holland! Of all places, they are coming here! We are soo lucky.

Maybe some of you are wondering what I'm doing about colleges, but I'll write about that next time. That is an unclear black hole at the moment which I'm working on. Share your stories with me on your college search or anything you've read in my blog! So REPLY/COMMENT/FACEBOOK/EMAIL/TWITTER me

One of the things I'm doing with a friend is taking the lyrics of a really sad song and turn it into a really happy song, haha.

NO RAIN

So today I had my first performance for music class and it was filmed by my good friend Dieske. She's in the second movie with a medley of pirates of the caribbean and I'm in the first movie and I'm singing Imagine of John Lennon. I had so much fun doing it and it was really fun to do with the people in my group. :)

IMAGINE - JOHN LENNON

PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN MEDLEY - DIESKE, NICOLE & JANNE

Next 4 weeks I'm going to learn to play the guitar. I can't play a single note, but I'm going to play the acoustic guitar. The song No Rain by Blind Melon.

After school I baked delicious caramel apples with Nicole and we succeeded (sort of) after stirring for about an hour. It wasn't going anywhere and it didn't taste like caramel at all, but after a while (without corn syrup) we did it!

BRAND NEW DAY

Costa Rica
I had a great day today! I had a lot of fun with my friends getting a present for a friend of mine with 2 other friends. We spent 2 hours doing so. Haha, with result. I've had a really bad week. The weather has really made a turn for the worst and suddenly I'm walking around in sweaters and I really, really hate it. It reminds me why I really want a different climate.

Anyway, I was browsing through my old pictures and I came across this picture.
And I was there. I took that picture with my old camera! I totally forgot about this picture. It was a really bad camera too, which really shows how beautiful it was there! I went to Costa Rica about two years ago and it was great. We had like a couple miles of private beach. There was nobody! We were there during the low season, which basically means there was nobody.

St. James Park - London
And a friend of mine (dieske) took a really cool picture of me in St. James Park London. On this bridge you had this great view of the London eye and other things. It was really cool. We had so much fun too! So, I've found this really cool new artist. Her name is Kina Grannis and she is a really good guitarist! I really like music with guitars in it! And I love self-written songs. Tomorrow Dieskes party.

She's a really good artist. Check her out on http://www.youtube.com/user/diesketje

Well, I'll write to you soon! And comment pleaase.

NEVER KNOW

Have you ever heard a song and really wanted to know who the artist is and what the track is called?
I used to have this problem all the time. The chances were really big that you would never know the name of that song. You could be in a store or hear the track on the radio or another place. I always use shazam. Probably half of the world uses it, but it works so well!

I also always have this problem in finding new music that really is my style. So I just discovered this great site. It's called last.fm! You just type in an artist or album or song and it will give alternatives just like that one. I use all the time. I even have an account. You fill in your favorite artists and it gives you new suggestions.

I filled in :
I just love music. I sing and I've played the piano. I had lessons, but I stopped about a year ago. I always love the effect music has on me. I just started to take music classes at school and it got me all inspired! I'm playing the piano about every day and singing more often.
I play together with a friend of mine. She plays the piano and I sing. So I might post a couple podcasts of us playing together!

Seeyaah.
